Vinyl LP Notes: It's a 10 song LP featuring 2 cover tunes and 8 brand new originals including one Kurt co-wrote with Tommy Dunbar of The Rubinoos. very very limited edition from Kurt's European tour.

Kurt Baker is a singer, songwriter and rock n’ roll performer from Portland, Maine who has always gone by the famous saying “Have a Good Time All the Time”. He is a founding member of the notable pop/punk outfit the Leftovers, who formed in 2002 and released many acclaimed records and toured all over North America and Europe. Kurt Baker’s signature unique blend of ultra catchy Beach Boys/Beatles styled melodies under a relentless wall of high energy guitars and pounding rhythms have earned him the praise of Larry Livermore (founder of Lookout Records), Ben Weasel (Screeching Weasel) and Jaret Reddick (Bowling For Soup).

Kurt emerged as a solo artist with a “labor of love” solo EP, “Got It Covered”, (2010 Oglio Records). Produced by Los Angeles based pop genius, Linus of Hollywood, “Got It Covered” featured Baker’s take on some of his favorite Power Pop songs of the 70’s and 80’s and featured guest appearances from Kay Hanley (Letters To Cleo) and Adam Marcello (Katy Perry). Kurt’s love of these classic songs all had one thing in common- “a key sense of melody.. and melody has always been the most important aspect of music to me. If you have a catchy hook in your song, you can do no wrong. I’ve always strived to write music that is catchy and fun.. that will be stuck in your head for hours after listening”

After a successful solo-tour of Europe in the fall of 2010, backed by Italy’s best Power Pop band, The Radio Days, Baker focused on taking his solo act back to the USA. A brief stint of shows throughout the Midwest brought together a group of musicians featuring Mike Bryne (the Methadones), Wyatt Funderburk (Second Saturday), Geoff Useless (the Guts) & Craig Sala (Planeside), to make up the Kurt Baker Band.

By January 2011, Baker had recruited longtime friends Josh Malia (The Taxis, Hi Fivin White Guys) and Kris Rodgers (Goodnight Process) into the fold. They soon returned to the studio to record the new “Rockin’ For A Living”, Kurt’s debut full-length solo album, due out October 25th 2011 on Oglio Records. As a special favor to Kurt’s European fans, “Rockin” For A Living” will be released as a limited-edition vinyl by Stardumb Records (Holland) and Torreznetes Entertainment (Spain). A tour of Europe has been booked as well as dates in the US to support the record.

When looking at what drives Kurt’s musical passion, he can pinpoint the second his life was changed by music. “The first record I ever loved was “Rubber Soul” by the Beatles. I must have been 5 years old when my uncle played me his cassette tape in his gigantic van as we drove through the rolling hills of Wisconsin. I’ll never forget the feeling that I felt when I first heard the opening chords of “Drive My Car” and the rockin’ shuffle of “The Word”.. even the melodic 12 string intro of Harrison’s “If I Needed Someone” hit me as something totally new and foreign. The songs in “Rubber Soul” just struck something in me.. it was exciting, and almost indescribable. I finally felt like I understood something.”

Quotes
“There are a couple of things I pride myself in, buy first is my ability to spot raw talent. The first time I met the Leftovers - goofy teens from Maine who drove ten hours just to play a free party in Queens - I knew they were the real thing. Kurt Baker's got an ear for pop melody that only comes along a few times in a generation, and a true love for the minutiae and history of rock 'n' roll. I can't wait to hear what he comes up with next.” - Jim Testa, Jersey Beat

“Kurt Baker is an amalgamation of all my favorite things. He’s got a biting vocal swagger (reminiscent of Elvis Costello and Joe Jackson), a comprehensive knowledge of classic pop music, a lovable Joey Ramone-esque personality and the songwriting chops of a man twice his age. I’m continuously excited by his creativity, positivity and prolificness.” - Linus of Hollywood

Kurt Baker – Got It Covered / Don’t Steal My Heart Away

“Don’t Steal My Heart Away”

"I had originally penned this tune for a group I briefly moonlighted with called The Goodnight Process in the spring of 2010. The band had been a local staple on the Portland, ME music scene playing pop/rock that was very influenced by groups like Rooney and Sondre Lerche, but when I joined the group we took a more straight ahead 70’s power pop approach, trying to draw heavily on groups like the Knack and Electric Light Orchestra.

“Don’t Steal My Heart Away” could have been a The Leftovers tune, but playing it with a whole set of musicians in the Goodnight Process really shaped how the song would eventually turn out. I dug this tune so much, and the audience reception to it was always great whenever we played it live, so after my stay in The Goodnight Process, this was one of the first tunes I wanted to record for my upcoming solo album of all original material.

This track features some excellent synth and back up vocal work from Kris “Fingers” Rodgers, and a killer lead guitar solo that channels The Shirelles “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow”, thanks to guitar monster Miek Rodrigue."  - Kurt Baker, Portland Maine

LYRICS
"Don’t Steal My Heart Away"
It started out like nothing new, it’s still the same old story
I saw her dancing at the show, she looked my way and suddenly
I got the feeling, hits me every time
One more one night stand, where do I draw the line?
(Hey now baby) You’ve got A lot to Learn
(About some loving) But since it is your turn
(So don’t misuse it) Don’t steal my heart away
She said she’s like to know me more, but I know all about her
She’ll have her way til she gets bored, I’m through with this encounter
No more guessing and hide your disguise
You’ll be on to the next one before it’s goodbye
(Hey now baby) You’ve got A lot to Learn
(About some loving) But since it is your turn
(So don’t misuse it) Don’t steal my heart away
Tell me - tell me what your doing, I can’t stop from losing
It’s a shame they call it love
So i’m through, being your affection, if you just want attention
And i’m not giving it up
No more guessing and hide your disguise
You’ll be on to the next one before it’s goodbye
(Hey now baby) You’ve got A lot to Learn
(About some loving) But since it is your turn
(So take it easy) Don’t steal my heart away

Kurt Baker – Hanging On The Telephone

Side A: "Hanging on The Telephone

Side B: "Pump It Up"

Hanging On The Telephone

Many people know this song as recorded by the beautiful Debbie Harry and Blondie, but in fact the original was written by Jack Lee, who played in the legendary LA punk/pop group The Nerves. Along with Lee, the other members included Paul Collins and Peter Case. Both members would go on to front bands like The (Paul Collins) Beat and The Plimsouls, both staples in late 70's Power Pop.

My version stays pretty true to the original, but it also reminds me of a great Swedish rock n' roll band called the Hellacopters. I saw them once in Boston and it totally blew my mind.. actually, they were probably the greatest band I've ever seen live. Speaking of Boston, Kay Hanley from the legendary Boston group Letters to Cleo (and in the new Oglio group, Palmdale ...editors note), sang back ups on this! She is awesome!

The intro sound clip is taken from Linus's voice mail on his phone. He's got a fancy phone... my phone doesn't even have a voicemail option, it's that old!

"Kurt Baker is interesting. He is lovable like a puppy dog, goofy in that Jeff Spicoli kinda way, and well endowed in his knowledge of music that happened years before his birth. This man devotes as much time to the crafting of nachos, as he does to sleeping. Add this to the fact that his voice and stage presence are as unmistakeable as a punch to the nuts, and you have Kurt Baker. The Man. The Character. The whole Shit-n-shabootle!"

Kurt Baker on Got It Covered

1. Let Me Out
The Knack are the quintessential Power Pop band, everything down to the black skinny ties and Beatle boots. "Get the Knack" belongs in every music fans record collection, and was one of the first Power Pop records I ever bought. "Let Me Out" is a burst of pure adrenaline and I couldn't think of a better track to start of the album. My performance and version reminds me of the work that I did on the Leftovers album "On the Move", which I'm really psyched about. On a funny side note, rumor has it that the Knacks singer/songwriter Doug Fieger wrote songs exclusively from the perspective of his "Schlong", which makes perfect sense if you go back and read the lyrics to songs like "My Sharona" and "Let Me Out". Doug Fieger died shortly before we recorded our version, so this is dedicated to him.

3. Pump It Up
When Linus and I got together to discuss "Got It Covered", one of the songs that we really wanted to model some of our work on was a track called "Bandages" by Hot Hot Heat. I remember always hearing that song in High School and thinking how ridiculously catchy it was, yet wild and spastic sounding. Elvis Costello is the king of making music that can be described at times as "Organized Chaos", so on this track we really tried to channel something along the lines of musical spontaneous combustion. Our "Pump It Up" comes off as a wild party anthem, and I love wild parties... esp. if there is beer and snacks involved!

Purchase Ringtone > Pump It Up

4. I've Done Everything For You
Rick Springfield is the man. You cannot deny his awesomeness. When The Leftovers were working on our record "Eager to Please", Rick had just released a new single called "Victoria's Secret". We all had a laugh about it, but Linus and I quickly switched the subject to how much we love Springfield's "Working Class Dog" album. It's pure 80's pop at it's best. During the recording of this song we found out that he was actually playing the entire "Working Class Dog" album in its entirety in Milwaukee, Wisconsin ( home to Beer & Cheese, two favorites of Linus and myself). We almost cancelled the session and boarded the plane but then Kay Hanely stopped by to record some killer back ups and we ended up just going to Mel's diner in Hollywood were we drank many Budweisers and got in fights with dorky LA douche bags who claim Taylor Swift doesn't write her own songs.. (She does by the way, and is kinda hot).

Purchase Ringtone > I've Done Everything For You

5. Is She Really Going Out With Him?
In a way, this song is kind of autobiographical. I spend a lot of time in coffee shops in my home town of Portland, Maine, usually drinking coffee and looking out the window and seeing all these beautiful girls walking with a bunch of meat head college guys. This might happen everywhere. "Is She Really Going Out With Him?" is a hopeless romantics lament and I've always loved the way that Joe Jackson comes off as your "average guy" songwriter. I've always felt a connection to his lyrics, and at the same time loved his infectious melodies. This was the first song we recorded during the session, it just came naturally!

6. Cruel To Be Kind
I'm a VH1 classics junkie. I really don't like cable TV very much. I don't even have cable were I live, but whenever I get a chance to eat dinner at my parents house, you can bet your fortunes that I'll be sitting on the couch watching Metal Mania or Pop Up Video rather than eating a pot roast. I've always seen Nick Lowe's video for "Cruel To Be Kind" on VH1. It's always stuck with me, and the chorus is just so infectious. This might be one of my favorite songs on the album. Ironically, Kay Hanley (my producer Linus of Hollywood has a band with Kay called Palmdale), who sang back ups on this record also did a stellar version of "Cruel" for the hit teen movie "10 Things I Hate About You" with Letters to Cleo. This one is for Heath.

Purchase Ringtone > Cruel To Be Kind

7. Turning Japanese
The Vapors are total 1 hit wonders, and there is nothing wrong with that! Take a tune like "Turning Japanese", a new wave classic that transcends generations. You can't help but feel good when you hear this song. Growing up I always would buy old Beatles or Beach Boys albums, but the first "New Wave" record I ever bought was "New Clear Days" by the Vapors, which features "Turning Japanese". It was probably the best 75 cents I've ever spent (besides that Milky Way I just purchased at the gas station). This was the last song we recorded during the "Got It Covered" sessions, and totally represents how much fun we had making this album.

Let Me Out
Let me out
Come and get me out
Cause I've been stuck in for too long
Let me out out
Come get me out baby maybe be where I belong
The time is right for stepping out in the light
My cup is full and I'll be pulling the wool tonight

Let me out
Come get me out you know that She don't understand
Let me out out
Come get me out baby I'm just living for the band
It's getting tighter and I'm feeling the bite
But I don't care because I'm getting my share tonight
Tonight tonight tonight

Let me out
Come get me out I'm just a prisoner of your love
Let me out out
Come get me out baby i will never have enough
I guess I'm getting while the getting is right
She may be faking
But I'm taking my chance tonight

Hanging On The Telephone
I'm in the phone booth, it's the one across the hall
If you don't answer, I'll just ring it off the wall
I know he's there, but I just had to call
Don't leave me hanging on the telephone
Don't leave me hanging on the telephone

I heard your mother now she's going out the door
Did she go to work or just go to the store
All those things she said, I told you to ignore
Oh why can't we talk again
Oh why can't we talk again
Oh why can't we talk again
Don't leave me hanging on the telephone
Don't leave me hanging on the telephone

It's good to hear your voice, you know it's been so long
If I don't get your call then everything goes wrong
I want to tell you something you've known all along
Don't leave me hanging on the telephone

I had to interrupt and stop this conversation
Your voice across the line gives me a strange sensation
I'd like to talk when I can show you my affection
Oh I can't control myself
Oh I can't control myself
Oh I can't control myself
Don't leave me hanging on the telephone

Hang up and run to me
Whoah, hang up and run to me
Whoah, hang up and run to me
Whoah, hang up and run to me
Whoah oh oh oh run to me

Pump It Up
I've been on tenterhooks
ending in dirty looks,
listening to the Muzak,
thinking 'bout this 'n' that
She said that's that
I don't wanna chitter-chat
Turn it down a little bit
or turn it down flat
Pump it up when you don't really need it
Pump it up until you can feel it

Down in the pleasure center
hell bent or heaven sent
listen to the propaganda
listen to the latest slander
There's nothing underhand
that she wouldn't understand

Pump it up until you can feel it
Pump it up when you don't really need it

She's been a bad girl
She's like a chemical
Though you try to stop it
she's like a narcotic
You wanna torture her
You wanna talk to her
All the things you bought for her
putting up your temperature

Pump it up until you can feel it
Pump it up when you don't really need it

Out in the fashion show
down in the bargain bin
you put your passion out
under the pressure pin
Fall into submission
hit-and-run transmission
No use wishing now for any other sin

Pump it up until you can feel it
Pump it up when you don't really need it

I’ve Done Everything For You
This one way love affair ain't fair, it ain't fair to me
It's all give and take and you just take
I can't take it you see
Well, I'm givin' up on love this time
Me and my friends, we'll do just fine

I've done everything for you
You've done nothing for me
I've done everything for you
You've done nothing for me

You said someday I'd have a whole lotta money,
I'd be a millionaire
But when that didn't happen over night
I found out how much you really cared
Well, all you want is a whole lotta money
All the rest is just jivin' honey

I've done everything for you
You've done nothing for me
I've done everything for you
You've done nothing for me

When I first met you, you didn't know how to love a man
All those things about makin' love you didn't understand
Now you know about everything
I'm turning you in for memories - you see

I've done everything for you
You've done nothing for me
I've done everything for you
You've done nothing for me
I've done everything for you
You've done nothing for me
I've done everything for you
You've done nothing for me

Well, I'm going out on the town tonight
And get just as wild as I can be
I'm gonna find out what it's like to be lose, high and free
Well, I don't care what that the people say
I'm changin' my mind, I'm changin' to stay

I've done everything for you
You've done nothing for me
I've done everything for you
You've done nothing for me
You've done nothing for me
You've done nothing...
You've done nothing...
You've done nothing for me

Is She Really Going Out With Him
Pretty women out walking with gorillas down my street
From my window I'm staring while my coffee grows cold
Look over there! (Where?)
There's a lady that I used to know
She's married now, or engaged, or something, so I am told

Is she really going out with him?
Is she really gonna take him home tonight?
Is she really going out with him?
'Cause if my eyes don't deceive me,
There's something going wrong around here

Tonight's the night when I go to all the parties down my street.
I wash my hair and I kid myself I look real smooth
Look over there! (Where?)
Here comes Jeanie with her new boyfriend
They say that looks don't count for much
If so, there goes your proof

Is she really going out with him?
Is she really gonna take him home tonight?
Is she really going out with him?
'Cause if my eyes don't deceive me,
There's something going wrong around here

But if looks could kill
There's a man there who's more down as dead.
Cause I've had my fill
Listen you, take your hands off her head
I get so mean around this scene

Is she really going out with him?
Is she really gonna take him home tonight?
Is she really going out with him?
'Cause if my eyes don't deceive me
There's something going wrong around here

Cruel To Be Kind
Oh, I can't take another heartache
Though you say oh my friend, I'm at my wit's end
You say your love is bonafide, but that don't coincide

With the things that you do and when I ask you to be nice
You say you've got to be...

Cruel to be kind in the right measure
Cruel to be kind it's a very good sign
Cruel to be kind means that I love you
Baby, got to be cruel, you got to be cruel to be kind

Well I do my best to understand dear
But you still mystify and I want to know why
I pick myself up off the ground to have you knock me back down
Again and again and when I ask you to explain
You say, you've got to be...

Turning Japanese
I've got your picture, of me and you
You wrote "I love you", I wrote "me too"
I sit there staring and there's nothing else to do
Oh it's in color, your hair is brown
Your eyes are hazel, and soft as clouds
I like to kiss you when there's no one else around

I've got your picture, I've got your picture
I'd like a million of you all to myself
I want a doctor to take your picture
So I can look at you from inside as well
You've got me turning oh I'm turning yeah I'm turning
now I'm turning that
I'm turning Japanese I think I'm turning Japanese
I really think so

Turning Japanese I think I'm turning Japanese
I really think so
I'm turning Japanese I think I'm turning Japanese
I really think so
Turning Japanese I think I'm turning Japanese
I really think so

I've got your picture, I've got your picture
I'd like a million of you all to myself
I want a doctor to take your picture
So I can look at you from inside as well
You've got me turning yeah I'm turning
oh I'm turning ah I'm turning yeah
I'm turning Japanese I think I'm turning Japanese
I really think so
Turning Japanese I think I'm turning Japanese
I really think so
I'm turning Japanese I think I'm turning Japanese
I really think so
Turning Japanese I think I'm turning Japanese
I really think so

No sex, no drugs, no wine, no women
No fun, no sin, no you, no wonder it's dark
Everyone around me is a total stranger
Everyone avoids me like a Cyclone Ranger
Everyone
That's why I'm turning Japanese I think I'm turning Japanese
I really think so
Turning Japanese I think I'm turning Japanese I really think so
I'm turning Japanese I think I'm turning Japanese
I really think so
Turning Japanese I think I'm turning Japanese I really think so
Turning Japanese I think I'm turning Japanese I really think so
Turning Japanese I think I'm turning Japanese I really think so
Turning Japanese I think I'm turning Japanese I really think so

About The Leftovers

The Leftovers ultra-catchy power pop gems in their new release, “Eager To Please”, successfully combines the classic 60's sounds of The Beatles and the Beach Boys with the 70's Power Pop of Elvis Costello, The Romantics and the Rubinoos, while keeping the upbeat energy of the Ramones and The Queers. That's right folks, "Eager to Please" has a little something for every fan of Power Pop and Post Punk music.

The Leftovers new album "Eager to Please" was produced by Linus of Hollywood and features Kim Shattuck of The Muffs, Brett Anderson of The Donnas, Parry Gripp from Nerf Herder, Coz Canler from the Romantics and Jon Rubin of the Rubinoos!

Hailing from Portland, Maine, The Leftovers formed in 2002, have played over 350 shows to date including touring the UK and has garnered a true cult following within the underground pop-punk scene, getting attention from all-stars Ben Weasel (of Screeching Weasel fame) and Larry Livermore (founder of Lookout Records).

The Leftovers are a freakin breath of fresh air! They are fun, fascinating and ROCKIN! And most of all, chicks dig em!

EAGER TO PLEASE

LYRICS
Can’t Stop

Can't Stop - Eager to Please

Well Susie looks so pretty
And Natalie is on my mind
There’s just some things about those girls
That make me feel so fine

But in the end you’re the special one
Lets get together and have a little fun you know that

I can’t stop, no I can’t stop
Lovin’ you girl it’s what I gotta do

Make no mistake about it
You are my favorite girl
It’s just the way you walk and the way you talk
That’s got my heart in a whirl

Can’t stop from loving you
Can’t stop from missing you
Can’t stop from kissing you cause it’s true
Can’t stop from wondering
Can’t stop from dreaming
Can’t stop from seeing you cause it’s true

Telephone Operator

Telephone Operator - Eager to Please

Telephone operator get me to my girl
Telephone operator get me to my girl

I tried the yellow pages and the classifieds
But I can’t seem to get through
I’m sick of listening to the dial tone
I just wanna be listening to you

Seven numbers that I dialed a thousand times
I can’t through I don’t know why
The lady tells me that your mailbox is full
Is she saying that there’s some other guy

All my friends are mad cause they can’t get through to me
But I don’t have a good excuse
They got me thinking I should just hang up
Cause maybe you are calling me too

Girlfriend

Girlfriend - Eager to Please

She’s on the phone and telling me that
My friends are dumb and asking if I’ll
Go take her out- dinner and a movie

She’s making me dress all nice and
Keeps giving me bad advice on
How she thinks I should try to make a living

But it’s even more than that
Her kisses aren’t that good
And I wish that she would leave
But I don’t think she would

And I don’t want my girlfriend
Oh to be my girlfriend anymore
I really wanna tell her
But I think that she would just ignore
Cause it’s so hard to keep my eyes off girls
When they walk on by
So I don’t want my girlfriend
I’d rather be a single guy

She complains about most everything and
Doesn’t like to dance or sing so
Why’s she with me? I don’t understand it

And here’s why:
Stay out do whatever I want to
Talk and kiss with every girl I meet
She couldn’t do a thing about it
Not this time cause she’s not with me

Get To Know You

(featuring Kim Shattuck from The Muffs)

Get to Know You (feat. Kim Shattuck) - Eager to Please

I need the sunshine and the sand
I need a girl to hold my hand
If what I say is true then I really want to get to know you

I need the moon and the stars above
I need a girl to share all my love
If what I say is true then I really want to get to know you

I know I’m not the coolest guy
So if you have some reasons why
You don’t think that you should be my girl
Well I’m not waiting around for you

I need the music and the fun
Now that the party has just begun
If what I say is true then I really want to get to know you

Thinking About Her

Thinking About Her - Eager to Please

Every time she goes away she’s always on my mind
These old feelings that she brings they keep me up all night
I wont go lie and say she’s not a pretty girl
But it’s so hard thinking about her

The way she moves around the floor she’s dancing all night long
Why’d she have to tell me words that left me feeling wrong
I wont go lie and say she’s not a pretty girl
But it’s so hard thinking about her

All the things she does
Makes me love her more
I just can’t bear to be around her
All the things she says
Give me chills inside
She’s stuck completely in my head

I don’t want to think about the love we could have had
The times we shared I never thought that they would end so bad
I won’t go lie and say she’s not a pretty girl
But it’s so hard thinking about her

You Know What You Do

You Know What You Do - Eager to Please

When I met that girl you know I think I lost my mind
She was hangin after class I didn’t want to waste no time
Cool, calm, and collected I went up to talk to her
Before I even knew it I had got her name and number

I don’t know how things go this way
But I’m hoping that she’ll be mine someday

Cause you know what you do to me baby
I’m breaking all the rules and going crazy
You know what you do to me baby
I’m falling for you, so I’m hoping that you’ll stay around

Every time I wake you know she’s always on my mind
I can’t help but wonder what she’s thinking at the same time
All these thoughts and feeling yeah they really make me shake
There’s a reason for this love and I’m hoping that its fate

We could walk hand in hand
I hoping that you’ll understand
You know I’m only thinking of you
You got me running around in my head
Thinking of the things I said
You say you don’t know, but I say its true

I Want You Back

I Want You Back - Eager to Please

A Year ago today you were my girl
The only thing I wanted in this world
But now you’ve gone away
And I can’t stand to bear the pain

Too many weeks have gone without a word
I can’t believe I acted so absurd
But this is how I am
I gotta see you again

And when I try
To call you
You wont pick up the phone
If this is real
Then I know
That I’ll always be alone

And I want you back back baby
Back in my arms
So don’t lose track baby
Cause I want you back back baby
Back in my arms

I heard your name called out the other day
I used to believe every word you’d say
But now that time is gone
I hope you feel like you were wrong

Every seconds like the one before
I keep on waiting but you just ignore
The things I say to you
The games we play I always lose

I thought I’d lose you from my mind
But now you’re back again this time

Untouchable

(Featuring Coz Canler)

Untouchable (feat. Coz Canler) - Eager to Please

She’s a popular girl
She’s walking down the hall
Everybody stops and stairs
Cause she’s a work of art

She drives around town
In a Corvette Car
You better watch what you say
She’ll drive right through your heart

You might think you’ve got her all figured out
Don’t try to take her hand its not allowed because she’s

She’s so untouchable
She’s so, I don’t think I’ll ever get a hold
She’s so untouchable

She’s always got a boyfriend
Who takes up all her time
If you wanna get closer
You better get in line

She’s listening to her records
She really digs that rock n roll
You’re gonna see her at the party
You’re gonna lose control

You think you know her
You can’t get enough
I hate to break the news
She doesn’t care about your love

Lost and Found

Lost and Found - Eager to Please

Pretty eyes of electric blue
I got excited when I first met you
How was I to know that things would go this way
We were together for oh so long
But now you left me on my own
That summer night when you found another man

And now I bet she’s having fun
Chewing on her bubble gum
And I thought she was the one
But now I’m saying

Used to love me, now you don’t
I could try, but I just wont
I’m stuck in the lost and found
I miss you and you hate me
You never come to check and see
I’m stuck in the lost and found
Now you’ve found someone new
And now I’m lost and feeling used so

Baby I’m lost and found

Disregard the love we had
Cause now I’m feeling oh so sad
With no one that I can call my own

I used to sit around I never could complain
But it was love that you were faking
And now I can’t afford to play your little game
But that was the chance that I was taking

Get Out Of My Head

Get Out of My Head - Eager to Please

This time I really think I lost my brain
Cause all my thoughts are still of you
You really did me wrong and led me on to think
That someday our love would be true

My friends all warned me from the very start
That you would hurt me in the end
I should’ve known better cause now we’re done
And I don’t wanna be just a friend

It’s been two weeks
Since I’ve seen your face
So why are you still in my mind?

You gotta get get get out of my head tonight.

I thought we had so much we that could talk about
But quickly it dissolved in the air
I’m fine with never ever seeing you again
So why does your image last

And I think it’s so unfair
To pretend your love is there

The Only One

(Featuring Parry Gripp)

The Only One (feat. Parry Gripp) - Eager to Please

She said come over next Saturday night
I’m in on what to do
I gotta tell her the way I feel
Cause my feelings are so true

Every damn night and day
She’s always on my mind
She’s so hot she’s the only one
And she’s gonna be mine

There is no other girl
Yeah I got to be with you
You are the only one
So I hope you need me too

We put some records on the stereo
We’re dancing all night long
Then she turned the lights down low
That’s when we had some fun

Make You Mine

Make You Mine - Eager to Please

Hey little girl if you knew
About all the things I’d say to you
Would you stay or change your mind
Cause I gotta gotta make you mine

And all the things that I would say
Would prove I can’t go on this way
I need your love all the time
So I gotta gotta make you mine

And I don’t know just what to do
If I don’t make you all mine tonight

Hey little girl can’t you see
That I’m begging on my bended knees
For you to stay, don’t change your mind
Cause I gotta gotta make you mine

I think that I’m falling in love again
I said I never would, but now I see you and I think I should
Give it at least one more chance

Dance With Me

Dance With Me - Eager to Please

I’m not the most romantic of guys
No I’m not the one that you want
But now the night’s here and the mood is right
Yeah the music has just begun

You said you like me just as a friend
You never thought the other way
Well I said there’s nothing wrong with that
But you never know what can change

So won’t you dance with me, dance with me
And take my hand and take a walk with me, walk with me
I think you’re gonna be the one baby, one baby
I gotta make you understand

You went to go dance with your man
I thought I’d never see you again
The club was crowded and dark but just to my luck
You looked at me I asked for your hand

Now I can’t explain it, it’s my timing and you know that it’s true
But then I turned your way, I finally got to say “here it goes…”

Party Til We Die

(Featuring Brett Anderson from The Donnas)

Party Til We Die (feat. Brett Anderson) - Eager to Please

Taking all the drugs that we can find
Music so loud it’ll blow your mind
The girl next to me she’s a bitchin babe
Hammerin down with one foot in the grave

So we can party
Party til we die
We’re gonna party til we die

Somebody’s car’s parked out on the lawn
It’s a damn good thing that your old man’s gone
The house is trashed everybody’s wasted
I’m sure glad this aint my place

P-A-R-T-Y WE’RE GONNA PARTY TIL WE DIE
